Finding Connection and Stability in Uncertain Times

November 3, 2025

As the government shutdown continues to ripple across communities, many people are feeling the weight of uncertainty — emotionally, financially, and personally. At GPS Group Peer Support, we know that moments like these can shake our sense of safety and stability. That’s why we’re opening our doors wider than ever, offering spaces where people can come together, share what’s real, and find strength in community.

Anyone can attend our GPS Support Groups at no cost. These are safe, confidential spaces to talk, listen, and reconnect with yourself and others. For a limited time, participants will also receive a $25 gift card as a thank-you if they fill out a brief survey after attending (for a maximum of two gift cards per person).

We know that a gift card doesn’t solve everything. But it’s one small way we can acknowledge that emotional care and financial care are deeply connected. When life feels uncertain, being able to buy groceries, gas, or a small comfort can make a real difference.

This moment calls for compassion and collective care. Whether you’re directly affected by the shutdown, struggling to make ends meet, or simply in need of a place to breathe and be heard, GPS is here for you. Together, we can weather this — with support, connection, and a reminder that no one should have to go through hard times alone.

Join a GPS Support Group today and take the first step toward grounding yourself in community and care.
